Summer in the UK

We had always planned to return to the UK for the summer months of July, August and September to see family and friends.  I had also arranged to link up with an NAS archaeological research project, diving on the Holland V submarine for four days in August; the plan was for a group of divers to dive the Holland V and then the Normans Bay wreck as a second dive, thus creating a unique and exciting opportunity to dive two protected and very different wreck sites in one day.  Sadly the whole project was cancelled due to awful weather conditions.

Despite gale force winds and heavy rain we had a great time living in a field in Pevensey Bay for the three months.  We saw family and friends, doctors, dentists and opticians! visited the West Country, The Midlands and Yorkshire, were invited to BBQ's, a Punk Rock gig, a Summer Festival and enjoyed some great days out, including Airbourne and the Thames Festival.  I went fishing and Alison went to an Abba tribute concert! Excellent times were had by all!

A huge thank you to you all for your hospitality, love and support.
